UDHAMPUR, Feb 8: Police today foiled an attempt of bovine smuggling at Roundomail and rescued 10 bovines besides arresting the smuggler.
These bovines were being smuggled in a Truck, bearing registration number JK02CT-1855 , which was stopped for checking by police team of Police Post Roun at naka point Roun, Dhar road. During checking, 10 bovines were found laden inside the vehicle in a very cruel manner and without any valid permission.
Police rescued the bovines and arrested driver of the Truck, identified as Mohd Qalim, son of Yousaf Mohd of Dansal, Jhajjar Kotli, Jammu.
In this regard, a case FIR under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Udhampur.
