KISHTWAR, May 9: One person was killed and another injured here today at Gosi Atholi when the vehicle they were onboard veered off the road and landed near the river Chenab.
The ill fated vehicle of Eeco make bearing registration number JK17A-0912, coming from Kijaie and moving towards Gulabgarh met with an accident at Gosi Atholi leaving the two persons onboard injured.
The injured were identified as Shoaib Ahmed, son of Mohd Akbar, resident of Karthie Paddar and Hardeep Singh, son of Som Nath, resident of Huryan Gwari Paddar.
Both the injured were shifted to SDH Atholi from where they were referred to District Hospital Kishtwar for treatment.
Later on the injured Shoaib Ahmed succumbed to his injuries.
Police has registered a case in this regard in FIR no. 7/2025 U/S 281/125(a) BNS at Police Station Atholi and started investigation.
