UDHAMPUR, July 16: One person died and another was critically injured when a car rammed into a road divider at Mand, near Tikri on the Jammu-Udhampur National Highway, here today.
According to the reports, the a car bearing registration number JK02CE-6770, was on its way from Jammu to Udhampur when it met with the accident, this morning at 7 AM.
Police and locals rushed to the spot and took the injured persons to Udhampur District Hospital where doctors referred them to GMC Hospital Jammu in view of their serious condition.
During treatment, one of the injured, namely Sumit Kumar (29), son of Sham Lal, resident of Manwal, succumbed to his injuries.
Condition of the other injured, identified as Rahul Kumar (20), son of Kartar Chand, resident of Manwal, was stated to be stable.
