1 killed, 3 injured as bus turns turtle

AKHNOOR, July 7: One person was killed and three other injured after a speeding bus turned turtle at Tanda area near Gurudwara, police said.
According to SHO, Police Station Akhnoor, Bharat Sharma, the ill-fated bus bearing registration No JK02AQ 1371 was on its way from Poonch to Jammu, when the driver of the bus lost control over the steering at Tanda, resulting into tragedy.
The conductor of the bus, Tariq Hussain son of Mohd Sharif and resident of Gall Pindi of Poonch died on the spot while Gopal Krishan son of Ramdev and resident of Shiv Nagar (Jammu), Khadam Hussain son of Gulab Shah and resident of Mendhar and Surinder Singh of Dhayaran sustained minor injuries, he said.
All the injured were shifted to Sub-District Hospital, Akhnoor, from where they were discharged after providing treatment while the body of the deceased was handed over to the family members after conducting autopsy.
A case in this regard has been registered at Police Station, Akhnoor and the investigations are on to nab the driver of the vehicle, who fled from the spot.
