MENDHAR, June 16: One person was killed while two others were injured as a Tata Mobile vehicle rolled down into a gorge in Parnai area of Mendhar in district Poonch today.
The police identified the deceased as Muskeen Hussain (55), son of Saddiq Hussain Shah, resident of Rajouri. The mishap took place when the vehicle No. JK02W/ 1103 loaded with some bovine animals was on way to Mughal Road. Three persons including driver were on board.
Critically injured Muskeen was rushed to SDH Mendhar and was later referred to GMC hospital Jammu. SHO Gursai Sanjay Gupta said the victim succumbed while being shifted to Jammu. Two other injured had first – aid from private Medical shop and escaped. He said a case has been registered in this connection.
