POONCH, Apr 23: One person was killed while four others were seriously injured after a collision of an Auto-rickshaw and a Bullet motorcycle near Government Degree College, Poonch last night.
Official sources said that at about 10 PM, this accident happened in which five persons were injured and shifted to District Hospital, Poonch for treatment by the locals there. Medical Superintendent of District Hospital, Poonch, Dr Nusrat Bhatti confirmed that one youth died during treatment in hospital, and after initial treatment, three injured were shifted to GMC Jammu for advance treatment and one was undergoing treatment at DH Poonch.
Deceased was identified as Farooq Ahmed (32), son of Mohd jafreed resident of Banpath and injured were identified as Daleep Raj (35), son of Badari Nath; Mohd Fareed (32), son of Mohd Hussain; Rayaz Ahmed (30). son of Mohd Bashir -all residents of Dungas; and Arshad Ahmed (24), son of Mohd Azeem, resident of Banpath.
SHO Poonch, Mohd Rashid said that a case in this regard has been registered at Police Station Poonch and investigation was in progress.
