SRINAGAR, May 8: One person died and 11 others were injured in different road accidents across the Valley.
Police spokesperson said a Tata 407 vehicle JK03A/1536 hit and injured a pedestrian Hilal Ahmad Dar, son of Ghulam Qadir Dar resident of Rahpora, Khudwani near 1st RR Camp Harnag, Anantnag. The injured was shifted to Sub District Hospital, Anantnag where he succumbed to his injuries. The body of deceased was handed over to his legal heirs for last rites. Anantnag Police has registered a case in this regard.
Meanwhile, an i-10 Car JK05A/1506 hit and injured Bilal Ahmad Khanday, son of Khazir Mohammad resident of Bani Kunzar near PHC Gulmarg. The injured was shifted to SMHS Srinagar for treatment. A case has been registered in this regard.
In another accident, a Tata 407 JK05A/1004 hit and injured Ahsan Dar resident of Khadniyar, Baramulla at Kanispora, Baramulla. The injured has been shifted to hospital for treatment. Baramulla Police has registered a case in this regard.
A Taveera JK03A/9541 collided with a Tata Sumo JK03/8530 at Sallar, Srigufwara, resulting in injuries to three persons who were travelling in the vehicle. All the injured were shifted to hospital for treatment. Srigufwara Police has registered a case in this regard.
In another accident, an Auto load carrier JK05D/0684 hit and injured two sisters, Gulshada and Safeena daughters of Ghulam Hassan Khan resident of Bandipora at Hyderpora near Gulbarg Colony Budgam. Both the injured were shifted hospital for treatment. A case has been registered in this regard.
A Swift car JK01S/1007 hit and injured a cyclist Ghulam Mohammad Sheikh son of Abdul Razaq resident of Waigund Payeen, Tangmarg near Joggers Park, Rajbagh. The injured was shifted to Hospital for treatment. Police has registered a case in this regard.
Meanwhile, a Winger JK01R5348 and a Tata 407 JK03/9282 collided near Green Tunnel, in the jurisdiction of Police Station Bijbehara, resulting in injuries to four persons traveling in the vehicle. All the injured were shifted to hospital for treatment. Police has registered a case in this regard.
