JAMMU, Apr 18: Represe-nting India in the prestigious 6th PARS Cup held in Iran, Jammu nd Kashmir’s ace Wushu players Bhanu Pratap Singh and Rajinder Singh won gold and bronze medals respectively in the International Meet.
The tournament includes top 15 Countries of the world in this discipline.
The Indian team was coached by Kuldeep Handoo, National coach.
The team members on their arrival today were garlanded profusely amidst ‘Dhol Beats’and ‘Petal Shower’ The Champions were later taken in an open-air procession from airport to the Sports House MA Stadium Jammu.
The Members of the Wushu Association and sporting fraternity gathered to congratulate the Medal winners and Coach Kuldeep Handoo.
Those who accorded rousing reception to the trio included Ranjeet Kalra, Vice Chairman Jammu Sports Council; OSD Sports Council, Mushtaq Baba; Vijay Saraf, President J&K Wushu Association; Deepak Handa, Vice President of the Assocition; Chief Sports Officer, Haji Abdul Qayoom and DSO Ravi Singh.
