JAMMU, Mar 15: Defeating Gandhi House in a close contest by 6 runs in the summit clash, Vivekananda House lifted the title trophy of the Annual Inter House Hostel Cricket Tournament of GGM Science College, Jammu, which concluded, here today.
The chief guest on the occasion was Dr. Ajeet Angral, Nodal Principal, GGM Science College, Jammu and the guest of honour was Desh Rattan Sharma, Joint Secretary J&K Cricket Association.
The guests were welcomed by Prof. (Dr.) Rajinder Singh, Convener Hostel Committee who alongwith Mahesh Sharma, PTI of the College introduced the teams with the chief guests.
The man of the final match was Goutam Sharma, while Abishek Bhau was adjudged as the man of the series.
While lauding the efforts of the students he said that such events inculcate the sportsman sprit and oneness among the students.
Later, the prizes were distributed by the chief guest. Among others Prof. Mohd Sadiq, Dr. Anil Verma and Dr. Dinesh Jasrotia were also present during the match.
The vote of thanks was presented by Mahesh Sharma.
