Verma for promoting moral ethics among students

AKHNOOR, Jan 29: Government Higher Secondary School, Chowki Chowra and Government High School, Kotli Tanda, today celebrated their annual day functions, here.
Vice Chairman OBC Advisory Board, Master Kuldeep Raj Verma was chief guest on both the occasions.
The students presented scintillating cultural extravaganza showcasing the composite culture of the Nation, National integration, Communal harmony and Social evils, which enthralled the jam packed audience. The students also sang patriotic songs and gave messages to save the natural resources and environment through skits.
Speaking on the occasion, Master Kuldeep Raj Verma stressed the need for promoting moral ethics among the students, so that our national heritage and values remain intact. He said in the present era, the parents and teachers are laying stress on the students to secure more marks to become officers after completing their education, but they are deprived of the moral values of the society, which create a wedge and younger generation gets disconnected from the basics of our rich heritage and culture.
The chief guest distributed prizes among the students who excelled in different activities. He also gave cash prizes to the best performing students from his own pocket.
Sectorial officers of various departments, Sarpanchs, Panchs, parents and large number of students from different adjoining schools were present in the functions.
