Tiny Tots School holds Yoga Championship

JAMMU, Jan 29: Jammu and Kashmir Yoga Association today organized the First ever Kindergarten Yoga Championship in Tiny Tots Higher Secondary School, Sainik Colony, here today.
Students drawn from 8 schools across Jammu city participated in the event.
Ranjeet Kalra, Member BCCI and Jammu and Kashmir State Sports Council was the chief guest on the occasion, who lauded the efforts of the Association in catching the students young and making them aware of health benefits of Yoga. He stressed upon the office bearers of the Association to promote Yoga in every nook and corner by adopting ‘Catch them Young and Coach them Policy’.
Deepak Handa, president of J&K Yoga Association while presenting memento to Kalra, assured that he and his association will leave no stone unturned to popularize Yoga among youngsters.
Dr Vikram Handa, Principal of the School, Director Handa College of Education, Gurpreet Handa and Rajiv, vice president J&K Yoga Association were also present on the occasion.
The prize winners in boys section included Sudanshu of TAPPS (Ist), Paulsn of Tiny Tots (2nd) and Surinder of DBN (3rd), while in girls section, Tanuja of TAPPS bagged first position, Arya of the same school won second place, while the third place went to Priyanka of DBN.
TAPPS won the overall championship, while Tiny Tots and DBN were declared 1st runners-up and 2nd runners-up respectively.
