JAMMU, Feb 6: Stadium XI scored a modest total of 118 runs in their first innings, while Sehwag Cricket Academy gained a vital lead of 40 runs, scoring 158 runs in their first essay during the ongoing Kuldip Sharma Memorial 2-Day Matches Cricket Tournament, being organized by Country Cricket Academy at Gharota, near here.
Earlier, put into bat, Stadium XI bundled out for 118 runs in 34 overs, with Vasu and Ayush contributing 28 and 21 runs to the total respectively. For Sehwag Academy, seam bowler Jasbir Singh was the pick of the bowlers, who took 6 important wickets, while Vivrant and Ravi claimed 2 wickets each.
In reply, Sehwag Academy scored 158 runs, thus gained a lead of 40 runs. Harman Singh top scored with 37 runs, while Vivrant contributed 32 runs to the total and Ishan scored 29 runs. Ayush was the wrecker-in-chief for Stadium XI, who took 6 wickets, while Kanaihya and Siddharth bagged 2 wickets each.
