JAMMU, Apr 23: Sant Mela Singh College of Education (SMSCE) organized 11th Annual Sports Meet in the College premises, here today.
Prof Dhian Singh Bhau, Director, Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu was the chief guest on the occasion, while S Rangil Singh, former Minister and president J&K Olympic Association was the guest of honour.
Chairman of the College, Prof Anmol Singh and members of the College Management Committee, S Prem Singh and Dr SPS Dutta were also present on the occasion.
Earlier, College Principal, Kiran Luthra presented welcome address.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof Dhian Singh stressed upon the students to work with sincerity, honesty and dedication to get respect in the society.
Various sports and games events were held during the week and 100 mts sprint, lemon race and spoon race are a few to name.
Indoor games like carom, chess and table tennis were also held during the week.
Prof Romesh Thakur, Physical Director and Prof Jasmeet Kour, Sports Incharge conducted the programme, while the programme was compared by Prof Charanjeet Kour.
