JAMMU, Jan 11: Shastri Cricket Club defeated Rainawari Cricket Club by 6 wickets in the ongoing 2nd Drug Free Youth Winter Cup Cricket Tournament, being organized by Country Cricket Academy at the Academy Ground, Gharota, near here.
Batting first, RCC bundled out for 106 runs, with Farooq and Nipun contributing 27 and 17 runs to the total respectively. For SCC, Sunny took 4 wickets, while Anchal and Aman claimed 3 and 2 wickets respectively.
In reply, Shastri Club achieved the target in 27 overs by losing 4 wickets to win the match by 6 wickets. Chander top scored with 43 runs, while Kanaihaya and Avesh contributed 23 and 19 runs respectively. For RCC, Nitin took 3 wickets. Sunny was declared as man of the match.
The match was officiated by Ashok Singh and Lakshya Khajuria, while the tournament is being held under the supervision of Vivek Sharma, former Ranji Trophy player.
