SH Club Hiranagar wins Kathua District Korfball Championship

KATHUA, Mar 19: Two days Kathua District Korfball Championship, organized by District Kathua Korfball Association concluded here at Shivalik Heights Public school Gurah Mundian Hiranagar.
The Championship was held under the supervision of Madan Lal, General Secretary of the Association.
The final match was played between Shivalik Heights Public School Gurha Mundian and Shivalik Heights Club Hiranagar.
Shivalik Heights Club Hiranagar defeated Shivalik Public School Gurha Mundian by 5-3 goals in a close contest. Kartik Sharma and Narayan Sharma displayed extraordinary skills by scoring 2 goals each for their winning team, while Diksha scored one goal. Paras Munda of Shivalik Heights Public School scored two goals while Raghav Khajuria netted one goal.
Unique Public School Chadwal won the third place by beating Vidya Bharti High School Hiranagar by 03-01. Navneet Singh, Arun Kumar, Shamli Sharma of Unique Public School scored one goal each for their team. Vasu Sharma of Vidya Bharti High School scored the lone goal for his team.
The match was officiated by Sukhwant Singh and Sanjay Kumar.
DySP Border, Ravinder Singh was the chief guest on the occasion, while Raj Kumar Sharma presided over the function. Ganesh Sharma (ZEPO Sallan) and Kant Kumar, social worker were the guests of honour.
The other dignitaries who graced the occasion were Parshotam Kumar, Principal of Unique Public HSS School Chadwal; Shanti Swaroop, Arun Sharma, Bodh Raj Sharma, Varun Sharma, Pooja Pathania, Saroj Sharma and Veena Sharma.
Vote of thanks was presented by the Chairman of the school, Yog Raj Sharma.
Meanwhile, two days District Udhampur Korfball Championship concluded at KendriyaVidyalaya Chennani in which 6 teams participated.
In today’s final match, Kendriya Vidyalaya Chennani beat Chenani Sports by 7-4 goals.
Principal KV Chenani Dr Bala Ram Parmar was the chief guest who distributed trophies and medals among the winners and runners-up teams.
