JAMMU, Sept 1: Nurturing students to be future leaders, Model Academy held its Investiture Ceremony for the year 2015-2016 to bestow the deserving students of the Senior Wing with responsibility of leading the School from the front.
The event was graced by Dr. Adit Gupta, Joint Director MIER and Rupa Gupta, Management Representative. They were accompanied by the officiating Principal, Usha Gadoo, Academic Manager Manjari Sehgal, Convener Sports Usha Chuni and Manju Vali, Convener Co-curricular Committee.
The ceremony started with the singing of School song by the choir group of the School.
The Students Council comprised Master Abhishek, Head Boy, Apurva Gupta, Head Girl, Master Arslaan Chowdhary and Sagarika, the Vice Head Boy and Head Girl along with House presidents and vice p[residents and Teacher Incharges of all the four Houses.
The members took an oath and were honoured with sashes and badges by the Joint Director and the Management Representative.
The newly elected Council members pledged to work earnestly for the betterment of the school and keep the school Motto of being “Shresta” i.e. “Excellence in Education” in high esteem.
The Joint Director in his speech congratulated the Council members and advised them to take up their duties sincerely and with full commitment.
The Management Represe-ntative and the Principal also congratulated the members and advised them to be role models for other students and work with passion.
The ceremony concluded with the National Anthem. Purnima Sharma compeered the programme.
