Jammu, Dec 7: MCC Chandwan and Shiva Cricket Club scripted victories over their opponents in the State Cricket Academy T20 Cricket Tournament, being organized by J&K State Sports Council, here.
Earlier, in the first match, MCC Chandwan defeated Kundan Cricket Club by 6 wickets. Batting first, KCC scored 79 for 4 wickets in 15 overs with Vicky 32 and Kundan 25 runs being the main scorers. Vivek and Sanju took 2 wickets each.
In reply, MCC Chandwan Club chased the target in 10.3 overs by losing 4 wickets. The main scorers were Ranjeet and Abhishek with 25 and 20 runs respectively. From bowling side, Kundan took 2 wickets, while Gulshan claimed 1 wicket. Ranjeet was adjudged as the man of the match.
In another match, Shiva CC Bhilawar defeated Warriors XI Kathua by 9 runs.
Batting first, Shiva CC Bhilawar made 114 runs in 16 overs for the loss of 5 wickets. Sahil Verma (28) and Sarthi (27) were the main scorers. From bowling side, Monu took 2 wickets.
In reply, Warriors XI scored 106 in the stipulated 16 overs. Kamalpreet scored 30 runs, while Raman contributed 22 runs to the total. Sourav took 3 wickets, while Jasvinder claimed 2 wickets. Sahil Verma was declared as man of the match.
