AKHNOOR, July 21: Outplaying Raghuvir Challengers Club by a big margin of 67 runs in the summit clash, Little Flower High School Akhnoor lifted the title trophy of the Summer Cup T20 Under-19 Cricket Tournament, organized by Singh Cricket Club, Akhnoor at Govt Higher Secondary School ground, here.
Earlier, winning the toss and batting first, Little Flower School Akhnoor scored a good total of 193 runs in the stipulated 18 overs, losing 9 wicketsa in the process. Manik Sharma top scored with 75 runs off 48, while Dheeraj Singh and Amit Mangotra contributed 42 and 20 runs to the total respectively. From Raghuvir Club, Kanav took 2 wickets, while Dinesh, Kalu and Sumit shared 1wicket each.
In reply, Raghuvir Cricket Club managed to score 126 runs in the allotted 18 overs for the loss of 7 wickets, thus lost the match by 67 runs. Mohinder top scored with 48 off 45 balls, while Dinesh Singh contributed 37 runs to the total. From Little Flower High School Akhnoor, Koushal scalped 3 wickets, Dheeraj Singh bagged 2 and Rajesh claimed one wicket. Manik Sharma was adjudged as the man of the match and man of the series.
The match was officiated by Arun Kumar and Deepak Mangotra as umpires, while Haritick Sharma was the scorer.
Kr Shakti Singh, social activists distributed prizes among the players on the occasion.
The Tournament was held under the overall supervision of Kr. Sham Singh Langeh, president Singh Cricket Club Akhnoor.
