JAMMU, Nov 17: Khalsa Cricket Club and KC Sports Club registered wins and entered in the next stage of the league round of the ongoing 7th Eid-Diwali Milan Cricket Cup, being organized by Zonal Police Headquarters Jammu in collaboration with Simula Cricket Club, KC Sports Club and Vishal Cricket Club at Parade Ground here today.
In today’s matches, SSP Rajeshwer Singh AIG Personnel PHQ was the chief guest whereas Parshant Mahajan CPO Jammu was the guest of honour.
In the first match, Khalsa Cricket Club defeated Singh Cricket Club Akhnoor by 22 runs. Batting first, Khalsa Club scored 160 runs for 5 wickets in 20 overs. Amandeep Singh played a splendid inning of 73 runs, while Navdeep scored 33 runs and Prithvi Singh made 28 runs.
From bowling side, Pankaj took 2 wickets, while Parveen, Sham Singh and Sunil scalped 1 wicket each.
In reply, Singh Cricket Club failed to chase the target and bundled out at 138 runs by losing all the wickets in 19.2 overs thus lost the match by 22 runs. Sunil with 27 runs, Rahul with 21 runs and Sumit with 17 runs were the main scorers.
For Khalsa Club, Gagan and Kawalpreet took 3 wickets each, while Prithvi Singh scalped 2 wickets and Amandeep took 1 wicket.
Amandeep Singh was adjudged as Man of the Match for his all round performance.
In another match, KC Sports Club defeated Raja Warriors by 12 runs. Batting first, KC Sports Club scored 137 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Atul made 29 runs, Vicky scored 28 runs and Vishal made 19 runs.
From bowling side, Arun took 3 wickets, Adil and Harry scalped 2 wickets each.
In reply, Raja Warriors could not chase the target and managed to score 125 in 14.4 overs by losing all wickets thus lost the match by 12 runs. Ridham scored 15 runs and Raja made 13 runs.
From bowling side, Gagandeep Singh took 3 wickets, Anchal and Abhinav took 2 wickets and Vicky scalped 1 wicket.
Vicky was adjudged as Man of the Match for his all round performance.
The matches were officiated by Ashok Kumar, Sanju and Vijay.
In tomorrow’s fixture, Simula Club will take on Reasi Cricket Club, whereas Horizon Club Samba will clash with Samar Club.
