JAMMU, Oct. 27: Khalsa Cricket Club entered into the semifinals, while Singh Akhnoor Club registered convincing win over their rivals in the ongoing 6th Eid-Diwali Milan T20 Cricket Cup, being played at KC School ground, HERE.
The tournament in which 12 teams are participating is being organized jointly by Simula Club, KC Sports Club and J&K Sports Promoters Club.
Earlier, in first match, Khalsa Cricket Club defeated Nagrota Youngsters by 87 runs.
Batting first, Khalsa scored 174 runs in the stipulated 20 overs for loss of 3 wickets, with Dhruv Mahajan (52), Bansi Lal (50) and Amandeep Singh (38) being the main scorers. From bowling Side, Deep Singh and Rahul Singh took 1 wicket each.
Nagrota Youngsters, in reply made 87 runs in 20 overs, thus lost the match by 87 runs. Niju Singh (38), Rahul (20) and Rahul Handoo (10) were the main scorers.
From Khalsa Club, Sameer Khajuria, Sunny and Mohit took 2 wickets each, while Dhruv Mahajan, Amandeep and Amarpreet claimed 1 wicket each. Dhruv Mahajan was declared as the man of the match.
In another match, Singh Akhnoor defeated YWC by 3 wickets.
Batting first, YWC scored 139 runs for 8 wickets in 20 overs with Sarthak (53), Munna (44) and Rohit (14) being the main scorers. From Singh Club, Sunil took 3 wickets, while Sham Singh Langeh and Vishal took 2 wickets each.
In reply, Singh Club Akhnoor chased the target in 18.4 overs by losing 7 wickets to win the match by 3 wickets. Chandan scored 45 runs, while Manik and Jimmy contributed 20 and 17 runs resepctively. From bowling side, Manoj took 4 wickets, while Munna took 2 wickets and Rahul claimed one. Chandan was adjudged as the man of the match.
