Keep your mind in positive frame: Ansari to youth

JAMMU, Dec 2: Minister for Information Technology, Technical Education Youth Services and Sports, Imran Raza Ansari today urged youth to put their minds in constructive way which will help them to put their own ideas and potential into reality.
The Minister said this while inaugurating Senior Students Speedball Championship at Indoor stadium here today in which large number of people participated including sports aspirants, children from different schools and parents. The Speedball Championship is being organized by the J&K Speedball Association in which 1500 students and players from 10 districts participated.
The Minister was accompanied by Joint Secretary Sports Jammu, Shiv Kumar Sharma, Member JK Sports Council, Ranjit Kalra, Chairman Speedball Association, S P Langer and other senior members of the association.
While addressing the gathering, Minister said that the participation of youngsters in the sports activities will provide them the opportunity for holistic benefits and makes them as a role model for other people of the society. The Minister added that parents are urged to motivate their children to take part in sports activities.
“We need to work collectively to weed out the deceitful, wicked and unscrupulous people who are hell bent to divide the people of state”, Ansari said. The Minister also directed the concerned officers to find out more modalities for the promotion of Speedball Sport in the state, so that aspirants from all the regions of the state can come at a single platform, which will be helpful to inculcate integrity, love, peace and brotherhood among the young minds of the state.
Ansari commended the efforts of the sports department for organising and making such events possible for sports loving aspirants of the state. He reiterates that government is committed in providing the sports infrastructure to the young sportsmen.
Later, the Minister also felicitated the winning players of the competition who had already participated in previous championships. Besides, the Minister also honoured the players who represented India at 29th world championship at Egypt in October 2017.
