KC Sports Club, Christian Stars register wins in 4th Eid-Diwali-Christmas Cup

JAMMU, Jan 21:  KC Sports Club and Christian Sports Club registered emphatic wins in the ongoing 4th Eid-Diwali-Christmas T20 Cricket Cup for students and youths of the state, being played at Parade Ground, here.
The tournament in which 24 teams are participating is being organized jointly by Jammu and Kashmir Police Department, Simula Sports Club, Atman Sports Club and Christian Sports Organization.
The Organizing Committee includes Hilal Rather,Sanjay Mahajan,Rajesh Gill, David Mattoo,Asif Gill, Rajesh Dhar,RP Singh, Sunil Sambyal and Sunny Gill.
The slogan of the tournament is “Khelo Khushi Sey- Par Nasha Mat karo”.
Earlier, Anil Mangotra, Chief Prosecuting Officer NHRC Jammu was the chief guest in today’s matches who was introduced with the participating teams.
Speaking on the occasion he conveyed his best wishes to the participating players for their performance in the tournament.
In the first match KC Sports Club defeated Tawi Cricket Club  by 46 runs .
Batting first, KC Sport Club scored 139 runs in stipulated 16 overs, with  Ateev (39) and Sahil Lotra  (34) being the main scorers. Kamalpreet took 2 wickets , while Shubam, Deepa and Sahib took 1 wicket each  for Tawi Cricket Club.
Tawi Cricket Club, in reply, managed to score only 93 runs in the allotted 16 overs by losing 7 wickets, thus lost the match by 46 runs. Asif was the top scorer with 27 runs, while Nayeem contributed 24 runs.  Sahil took 3 wickets, while Noushad and Karan Bhat took 2 wickets each. Sahil was adjudged as man of the match.
In the second match, Christian Sports Club scripted a convincingly win against Bahu Fort Cricket XI.
Batting First, Bahu Fort Cricket Club scored 129 runs in the allotted 20 overs, with Mohit  (25) , Sunny (24) and Ropesh (21) being the main scorers. Anchal took 3 wickets, while Nitu Khokher took 2 wickets and Sunny and Ambrose claimed 1 wicket each for Christian Sports XI.
Christian Sports Club, chased the target in 18.2 overs, losing 4 wickets in the process, thus won the match by 6 wickets. Hinan top scored with 58 runs and Danny made 23 runs for the team. Yogesh took 3 wickets, while Mukesh claimed 1 wicket. Hinan was adjudged as the man of the match.
The matches were officiated by Sandeep Manchanda, Vinod, Sunil Sambyal and Danny.
In tomorrow’s fixture, RCC Srinagar will lock horns with Janipur Cricket Club at 8.30 am,
Evershine Cricket XI will face BCC at 11.30 am and Sai Cricket XI will take on JK Warriors Club at 2.15 pm.
