JAMMU, Jan 3: Hosts Jammu University and SRM University Tamil Nadu registered wins over their rivals in the inaugural matches of the All India Inter University Roll Ball Tournament, being organized by the Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu, here.
In the first match, University of Jammu defeated Chandigarh University, Mohali by six goals to four (6-4). Dilpreet Singh and Amritpal Singh scored two goals each for Jammu University while Vikas Mahala scored highest two goals for CU Mohali.
Prof Avtar Singh Jasrotia, Director, Directorate of Sports & Physical Education, University of Jammu and Dr Dharminder Magotra, Joint Registrar (Finance), University of Jammu interacted with the players of both the teams.
In second match, SRM University, Tamil Nadu beat Integral University, Lucknow by (8-4) goals. Dhivakar J. was the top scorer from SRM University, Tamil Nadu, scoring six individual goals where as Ayush Asha scored all the four goals for Integral University, Lucknow.
The matches were officiated by the technical panel of experts including Jyoti, Sunil Thomas, Chandeshwar, Bhuvnesh and Simran.
