J&K thrashes Puducherry by 116 runs in U-19 Cricket

JAMMU, Jan 27: Jammu and Kashmir crushed Puducherry by a huge margin of 116 runs in the 59th National School Games Under-19 Boys CK Nayudu Cricket Tournament, being organized by the Government of Madhya Pradesh at Indore.
28 States/Union Territories drawn from across the Country are participating in the even, wherein J&K has to lock horns with CBSE and Daman & Deo, apart from Puducherry in its pool.
In their first today against Puducherry, J&K won the toss and decided to bat first.
Batting first, J&K scored a decent total of 156 runs in the stipulated 15 overs, losing 4 wickets in the process. Rayees was the top scorer with 62 runs, while Hinan and Shubam Pundir contributed 32 and 31* runs to the total respectively.
In reply, Puducherry bundled out for a meagre total of 40 runs in 9.2 overs, thus lost the match by 116 runs. For J&K, Aman Sharma, Shabir and Imtiyaz scalped 2 wickets each.
