JAMMU, Feb 18: Sponsored by Jammu and Kashmir Badminton Association under the auspices of J&K State Sports Council, the State Masters (Veteran) Badminton team left for Visakhapatnam (AP) to participate in the 42nd Masters (Veteran) Badminton Championship (men & women) singles, doubles and mixed doubles in the age groups of above 35, 40, 45, 50, 55, 60, 65 and 70 years.
Dr OD Sharma, Chairman J&K Badminton Association and Vice President Badminton Association of India and a galaxy of dignitaries were present during the flag off ceremony.
The squad: Chanchal Singh, Sunit Sharma, Gurvinder Singh, Lalit Prakash, Mridula Gupta, Vivek Mehta, Puran Chand, S. Sarvanan, Kirti Sharma, Sunil Gurkha, Sukhdev Singh, Pankaj Sharma, Pawanjit Singh, Sultan Mirza, Basanti Bhat, Aditi Bochare, Daljit Singh, Vivek Slathia, Raju Chawla, Anil Gurkha, Ramesh Sharma, Narinder Khajuria, Reeta Kakroo, Balbir Singh Jamwal, Harjeet Sethi, Narinder Gupta, KDS Jamwal and Rajinder Sodhi.
