J&K Jump Rope team leaves for Jharkhand

JAMMU, July 24: To participate in the 14th Senior National Jump Rope Championship to be held at Jharkhand from July 27 to July 30, 2017, the State Jump Rope team left for the venue from here today.
Before the departure of the team, uniforms were distributed among the players by Vikram Singh Bhadwal, Chief Patron Jump Rope Association of J&K in presence of Dr Seema Pawan Manhas, General Secretary and Leela Jamwal, Vice President, besides  Divisional Sports Officer J&K State Sports Council, Ravi Singh.
Earlier, the screening of players was conducted by the Screening Committee of J&K State Sports Council Jammu. The Screening Committee comprised of Joint  Secretary, Shiv Kumar Sharma and Divisional Sports Officer, Ravi Singh and  Krupali Singh.
Arvind Jamwal, Technical Director of the Association and Pawan Singh Manhas were also present on the occasion, besides coach Navjot Singh, Rijinder Singh and Shagun Jamwal.
22 players drawn from different districts of the State from both the provinces have been selected in the team and the districts included Baramulla and Anantnag from Kashmir province and Kisthwar, Samba, Kathua, Jammu and Udhampur from Jammu province.
