J&K cadets bag 1st place in NIC

JAMMU, Jan 31: Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh, a perfect example of ‘Unity in Diversity’ was the theme of J&K NCC contingent, comprising of one Associate NCC Officer (ANO) and twenty cadets who returned to Jammu today with the best contingent prize from New Delhi.
8 boy and 10 girl cadets from different districts of the State participated in National Integration Camp.
The districts included Nubra, Leh, Srinagar, Udhampur, Reasi, Jammu, Samba and Kathua.
550 Cadets from 17 NCC Directorates from across the Country participated in the event.
The major highlight of the Camp was Prime Minister’s Rally on January 28, wherein the Cadets presented a cultural programme in presence of Prime Minister, Dr Manmohan Singh.
J&K contingent was headed by Second Officer, Narender Langer.
Prior to their departure, the Cadets were given extensive training by Shriya Sawhney and Havaldar Avtar Singh.
The Contingent was lead by Junior Under Officer, Vishal Kumar and Senior Under Officer, Monika Sharma.
