JAMMU, July 1: Member Legislative Council (MLC) Vikramaditya has been elected as the president of the revived J&K Basketball Association, elections to which were conducted here today.
Prof Ashutosh Sharma has been elected as Senior Vice President, Ranjit Kalra as Vice President Jammu, Faizal Hameed as Vice President Kashmir, Sunil Sharma as Associate Vice president, Dr Vikram Handa as Hony General Secretary, Kuljit Singh as Associate Secretary, Ashok Singh as Hony Treasurer, Dheeraj Kumar as Joint Secretary Jammu and Advocate Teja Singh as Joint Secretary Kashmir.
The members of the executive committee include Shabir Ahmad, Lt Col JB Singh, Suresh Pal, Vikas Gupta, Raj Kumar, SS Gill, Ajay Sharma, Rakesh Sharma, Sumit Manhas, Amir Mehraj and MS Gill.
Amarjit Singh, SAI Basketball Coach shall be Chairman of the selection committee while Aman Sharma, SAI Basketball Coach shall be Chairman Technical and Coaching Committee.
Teja Singh, Senior Vice President, Basketball Federation of India (BFI), who was the observer from the Federation, assured that BFI shall consider an honorary position for the newly elected president in its body.
Dushyant Sharma, President J&K Wrestling Association was the observer from the JKOA.
