JAMMU, Oct 22: Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) today declared the result of its annual `Sunil Padha Memorial Gyan Pratiyogita’ , which was held on September 21, 2014.
While announcing the final result, ABVP State president Dr Verinder Koundal declared Jay Vikas of BBSV Peeth, Udhampur, class 12th as over all topper of Sunil Padha Memorial Gyan Pratiyogita 2014 in 11th – 12th category scoring 79 marks, while as Shiffali of National Academy Kathua, class 10th as topper in 9th – 10th category, scoring 67 marks.
In 11th- 12th category, Anmol Salaria and Sidhant Jamwal, both of St Xavier Convent Kathua, stood 2nd and 3rd respectively scoring 77 and 76 marks. Avinash Thakur, class 11th of Oriental Academy , Jammu, Vijay Lakshmi, class 11 of BBSV Peeth, Udhampur and Akhil Jasrotia, class 11 of Little Angel’s Hr Sec Kathua stood 4th, 5th and 6th respectively scoring 75, 75, 73 marks.
In 9th- 10th category, Pooja Sharma of class 10th of National Academy Kathua and Raman Singh, class 9th of little Angel’s Hr Sec Kathua stood 2nd and 3rd respectively scoring 66 and 65 marks. Sanjay, class 10th of Spring Dales English School, Kathua, Ruhi Sharma, class 9th of little Angel’s Hr Sec Kathua and Rupamvir Singh, class 9th of Christ School, Poonch stood 4th, 5th and 6th respectively scoring 64, 63 and 62 respectively. Dr Verinder Koundal further informed that three winners from each category will be given cash prize of Rs 1500, Rs 1000 and Rs 500 respectively and three consolations prizes in each category will be awarded in civic function at Jammu. Students getting above 60 percent marks will be given certificate of Merit.
