srinagar, Sept 15: Islamia College and Degree College Bemina won their ties in the ‘Play for Health’ Football Tournament, being played at Polo ground, here.
In the first match, Islamia College XI defeated Post Graduate XI, University of Kashmir via tie-breaker, after the two teams played 1:1 draw in the stipulated time. Hanan was the goal scorer for PG XI and Jajib scored for Islamia College .
In the tie-breaker, Islamia College scored 5 goals against 3 goals.
In the second match of the day, Degree College Bemina defeated Govt Medical College XI by three goals to one (3-1).
The scorers were Aqib (2 goals) and Amir (1 goal) for Degree College Bemina, while for Govt. Medical College XI, Faisal was the goal scorer.
The matches at Anantnag, Bandipora & Baramulla were postponed by one day.
