Inter House Sports Quiz Competition held at GD Goenka School

JAMMU, Aug 31: An Inter House Sports Quiz Competition was held for the sports enthusiasts of classes IX and X at GD Goenka School.
Vivekananda House represented by Yashvardhan Rathore of Class IX and Sparsh Khullar of Class X lifted the Sports Quiz Trophy after defeating their nearest rival Radhakrishnan House amidst loud cheer and thunderous clapping. On the final score tally, Tagore House stood third and Teresa House stood fourth.
The first round was a warm up session which was based on general questions on sports and sportsmen/women.
The second round was based on racket sports i.e. badminton, lawn tennis, squash and table tennis.
The third round was exclusively based on cricket as India is regarded as a cricket crazy country.
There was immense craze about the game and people often idolize their favourite cricket stars.
Round four was all about the common wealth and the Asian games.
The last round was based on Olympics.
Yashvardhan and Sparsh the two “off the field Champions” were able to answer all questions with ease. They were lauded and cheered by their House Masters and teachers alike.
The quiz master Ravi Singh, Basketball Coach asked the questions.
Principal of the school Rajesh Rathore asked the participants to be more thorough with sports as it is an integral intrinsic aspect of personality development.
