HDFC Bank organises employee sports competition

JAMMU, Oct 14: HDFC Bank Ltd today organised the 7th Edition of its annual sports competition for employees of Jammu region.
Namely Josh Unlimited, this event is the flagship employee engagement initiative which the Bank undertakes to promote fitness and overall well-being among its employees through sports.
Josh Unlimited was launched in Srinagar last month and will be rolled out in over 30 cities across India in the coming months.
It is one of the largest internal sports events for employees organised by a corporate in the country. Last year, more than 17,000 Bank employees participated in the competition held at 29 locations over a period of five months.
In Jammu, the event was held at Heritage School, Sainik Colony.
Over 300 employees participated in several disciplines such as Cricket, Badminton, Carom, and Lagori.
The event also saw enthusiastic support from families of the employees.
Josh Unlimited 2018 was inaugurated by chief guest Ramesh Kumar, Deputy Commissioner, Jammu along with HDFC Bank’s Zubair Iqbal, Circle Head, Jammu & Kashmir; Parag Shah, Head, Learning and Development, and Employee Engagement and Sachin Mahajan, Cluster Head, Jammu in the presence of other senior bank officials as well as participants.
Zubair Iqbal, said, “Our employees are our greatest strength. Sports plays a big role in their overall health and well-being, which is of utmost importance to us. I am happy that we have this excellent platform at HDFC Bank, which gives the employees in the Jammu region the opportunity to not just compete but also build team spirit and camaraderie”
Speaking about the event, Parag Shah, said: “We encourage all our employees to embed sports and physical activity in their lives.”
