DODA, Feb 28: Garh (B) Cricket Club won the final trophy of ongoing Kastigarh T20 Cricket Tournament by beating Market Eleven at Kastigarh, here.
The tournament was organized by Sunshine Youth Club Kastigarh.
In this tournament total 30 teams participated and out of 30 teams, 10 teams under the age of 14 years also participated.
Earlier, after winning the toss, Market Eleven while batting set a target of 117 runs for the loss of all their wickets. Neeraj, Dildaar and Parshotam scored well for their team whereas from Garh (B) Cricket Club Irfan and Noor Ali took 4 and 2 wickets respectively.
In reply, Garh (B) Cricket Club chased down the given target of 118 runs in 11.5 overs by losing their 5 wickets. Hafizullah and Irfan scored 30 and 24 runs for their team.
Irfan of Garh B Cricket was declared as Man of the Match for all round performance where as Yasir Sheikh was given Man of the Series award.
Ex MLA Ramban Dr Chaman Lal Bhagat was the Chief Guest while Subedar 10RR, Ex Sarpanch Kastigarh Qutab Din, Mohd Ayoub Khan, Lect Zaffarullah Naik, President Sunshine Youth Club Mohd Irfan Khan and Vice President Sunrise Youth Club Masood Ahmed were the Special Guests on the occasion.
Meanwhile, in under-14 category match, Zargar Eleven Kastigarh beat Mendhar Eleven.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Guest Ex MLA Dr Chaman Lal lauded the efforts of organizers for holding such event in this hilly and backward area, adding that such events will boost the hidden talent among youth of this region and exhorted all youths to actively participate in such tournaments.
