DSS organizes symposium of Dogri Language & Dogra Monuments

UDHAMPUR, Aug 27: Inter-school symposium on the topic “Dogri Language and Dogra Monuments” was held today under the aegis of Dogra Sadar Sabha, J&K at JK Public Higher Secondary School, here.
Around 10 different schools of Udhampur district recorded their participation.
Incharge of Youth Wing, Dogra Sadar Sabha and former member of Zonal Railway User’s Consultative Committee, Gambhir Singh Charak was the chief guest, while Janak Khajuria, Incharge, Cultural Heritage Committee, All Jammu Civil Society Forum was the guest of honor.
Dogra Sadar Sabha (DSS), Udhampur Unit, School Managing Director, Manender Singh Bawa and school Principal Kewal Bawa presented the welcome address.
The students were adjudged by Balraj Bakshi, a renowned writer and Harvinder Singh, an eminent cultural coordinator of Udhampur.
Laxmi of JK Public Higher Secondary School and Sumit of AOC Higher Secondary School walked away with first prize, while second prize was bagged by Mansi of Happy Model Higher Secondary School and Satyakarity of Holy Angel High School. The third prize went to Pranavi of Maharaja Hari Singh Higher Secondary School and Suraj Chalotra of Indira Shishu Mandir Higher Secondary School.
The whole programme was organized under the stewardship of Madhvi Mathur and Sunil Sharma.
In the end, Dolly Kumari presented the vote of thanks.
