UDHAMPUR, Nov 22: Three day District Udhampur Table Tennis Championship, organized by Udhampur Table Tennis Association (UTTA) concluded, here today.
On the valedictory function, ex MLA Udhampur Balwant Singh Mankotia was the chief guest, while DySP Zahid Wani and Assistant Commandant Nabil Ahmed Wani were also present.
In cadet category final, Archit Mahajan defeated Aditya by 3-1, whereas in final of junior boys category, Sourav Sharma defeated Harshit Rampara by 3-0.
In senior girls category final, Siya defeated Pratibha by 3-2, whereas in senior boys category, Yogeshwar defeated Rohit Gupta by 3-2.
While speaking on the occasion, UTTA General Secretary Tarun informed that around 200 players participated in the tournament and winners will participate in national level championship.
Balwant Singh Mankotia in his speech said that UTTA has contributed a lot for exploring the game. He appealed to youngsters to stay away from the drugs and take part in games.
Later, winners were given awards.
On the occasion, President Vinod Baru, Joint Secretary Ankit Sharma, Vice President Sunny Sharma, Treasurer Prikshit Khajuria, member Akash Sharma, Sanjiv Sharma, Akhil Bandral, Jeevan Bhagat and Vishal Bamotra were also present.
