UDHAMPUR, Nov 13: District Udhampur Athletic meet, organized by District Udhampur Athletic Association under the aegis of J&K Amateur Athletic Association concluded today at Subash Stadium here.
On the occasion, Rayees Mohammad Bhat SSP Udhampur was the chief guest whereas Zahid Saif Wani DySP Headquarters was the guest of honour. RC Sharma Athletic Coach (Retd) was special guest.
Sunil Sharma President District Athletic Association presented the welcome address, while Sanjay Sharma, Mohit Khajuria, Satya Bushan and Rajnish Sharma acted as officials. Inderjeet Singh who himself is an outstanding athlete was the Organizing Secretary of the meet.
A coaching camp will be organized for the selected athletes who will participate in the District Nationals going to be held at Tirupati Andhara Pradesh.
Amit Sharma Secretary District Athletic Association conducted the proceedings and also presented the vote of thanks.
In under-14 to 16 100 meters (girls), Priyanka Devi, Soumya and Shruti Dogra bagged first, second and third positions respectively, whereas in under-16 to 20 100 meters (girls), Piyush, Rushi Devi and Kirti Devi clinched first, second and third positions respectively and in under-16 to 20 400 meters (girls), Samriti Baloria, Shilpa and Taniya bagged first, second and third positions respectively.
In under-14 to 16 Shotput (boys), Jasmehar Singh, Harsh Choudhary and Sandeep Kumar secured first, second and third positions respectively, whereas in under-16 to 20, Rajinder Kumar, Sandeep Singh and Aniket Sharma bagged first, second and third positions respectively.
In under-14 to 16 Shotput (girls), Isha Thakur, Anjana Sharma and Anju Devi bagged first, second and third positions respectively, whereas in under-16 to 20, Suman Devi, Sonali Devi and Manat Sharma clinched first, second and third positions respectively.
In under-14 to 16 Relay Race (boys), KV Team, APS Team and Malhar team clinched first, second and third positions respectively, whereas in under-16 to 20, APS Team, Sunil Team and KV Team bagged first, second and third positions respectively.
In under-14 to 16 Relay Race (girls), APS Team, KC Gurukul and GHSS Barolla bagged first, second and third positions respectively, whereas in under-16 to 20, Brahm Rishi Bawra, GHSS ghari and Bright Career clinched first, second and third positions respectively.
