SRINAGAR, Dec 26: In the final match of “Play for Health’ College Football Tournament 2017 played at Synthetic Turf TRC, Degree College Sopore defeated Islamia College XI by a solitary goal (1:0). Kamran was the goal scorer who netted the ball in 17th minute of the match. The team maintained this lead till the final whistle. Islamia College XI players failed to convert chances into goals.
Earlier, in the first semifinal, Islamia College XI defeated Degree College Anantnag by one goal to nil. Waris Amin was the goal scorer in the 26th minute, while in 2nd semifinal, Degree College Sopore outplayed Degree College Ganderbal via tie-breaker.
The Tournament was organized by Jammu and Kashmir Football Association (JKFA), under the banner of J&K State Sports Council.
