Chander Shekhar CC faces Udhampur in summit clash

JAMMU, Feb 1: Defeating their rivals convincingly in the semifinals, Chander Shekhar Cricket Club will take on Udhampur Cricket Club in the summit clash, here.
The Tournament is being organized by BJYM, under the banner of “Khelega Yuva Jeetega Bharat”.
The first semifinal was held between Chander Shekhar Cricket Club of Jammu and Brig Rajinder Singh Cricket Club of Samba, while the second semifinal was played between Army XI Kathua and Udhampur Cricket Club.
MLA Jammu East, Ashok Khajuria was the chief guest for the first semifinal, while State general secretary of BJP Kavinder Gupta was the chief guest in the second semifinal.
National Executive Member BJYM, Parimoksh Seth, State general secretary and Programme Incharge Ajay Pargal, State vice-president and Programme Co-Incharge Karan Sharma, vice- president Ashish Sareen, State treasurer BJYM Mohinder Gupta, district president Jammu Ishant Gupta, district president Udhampur Ramneek Gupta and Rajan Thakyal were present on the occasion.
Rohit Verma, MD Nutrition Heart sponsored the trophies for the matches.
In the first semifinal, BRSCC bundled-out for 55 runs in 13.4 overs. Jagtar Singh was the top scorer who played an impressive knock of 28 runs. Anil Kumar scalped 4 wickets.
In reply, CSCC scored 56 runs for the loss of 7 wickets, thus won the match by 3 wickets.
Sahil top scored with 11 runs. Mohd Saleem took 4 wickets from the bowling side. Anil Kumar bagged man of the match award.
In the second semifinal, Army XI Kathua scored 72 runs in 16.5 overs. Aslam was the top scorer with 20 runs. Vikas took 4 wickets for Udhampur.
In reply, Udhampur Cricket Club scored 76 runs for the loss of 3 wickets in 9.1 overs, thus won the match 7 wickets. Binny played an extraordinary inning of 41 runs, while Aslam claimed 1 wicket for Army XI.
Vikas and Binny shared man of the match award.
Ashok Khajuria and Kavinder Gupta also spoke on the occasion and lauded the efforts of the winners.
