BSS J&K organizes 29th State Kabaddi Meet

JAMMU, Aug 5: Bhartiya Shiksha Samiti (BSS) Jammu and Kashmir organized its 29th State Sports Meet of Kabaddi in Under-11, 14 and Under-17 boys category at BVM High School, Amphalla, here.
Around 100 players drawn from 7 schools of six zones of Jammu province participated in the Meet.
In Under-14 boys, SBY BVM Dadwara Billawar bagged 1st position, while BVM Amphalla and BVM Udhampur clinched 2nd and 3rd spots respectively, while in Under-17 boys, BVM Amphalla, BVM Udhampur and BVM Dadwara claimed 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions respectively.
The prize distribution function was presided over by Pradip Kumar, Organizing Secretary BSS J&K, while Satish Mittal, President BVM Amphalla and Treasurer BSS J&K; Samir Krishan Saproo, Khel Kud Pramukh, BSS J&K and Rakesh Marhatta, Principal of the School were present on the occasion.
The Meet was conducted by Kuldip Raj, Tilak Singh, Mulkh Raj, Jail Singh, Dilear Singh, Balbir Singh and Sunil Kumar.
The selected players in the Meet will represent J&K in the Vidya Bharti North Zone Games to be held in Uchana, Jind, Haryana from August 25 to August 28, 2017.
Speaking on the occasion, Pradip Kumar lauded the efforts of the players and assured them of all facilities to make them blossom at the National scene.
