JAMMU, Nov 11: J&K Amateur Athletic Association is going to conduct Jammu District Athletics Championship on November 13 and 14 at J&K Armed Police Complex Channi Himmat Jammu for both boys and girls in different events.
In under-14 boys and girls, the events will be 100 meters, 600 meters, long jump and shot put, whereas in under-16 boys and girls, the events will be 100 meters, 200 meters, 400 meters, 1500 meters, long jump and shot put.
In under-18, the events will be 100 meters, 200 meters, 400 meters, 800 meters, 1500 meters, long jump and shot put.
The athletes have been advised to bring age proof with them. The interested athletes can contact SS Gill (94191-08337) and Vinod Bhatia (97968-19575).
Meanwhile, annual general body meeting of J&K Amateur Athletic Association was held today. Sandeep Mehta Secretary General Delhi Athletic Association was appointed as observer by Athletic Federation of India for this meeting.
In the meeting, Model Code of Constitution drafted by Athletic Federation of India as desired was adopted by the Association as the same was mandatory in the presence of Sandeep Mehta.
In the meeting, it was unanimously decided to conduct North Zone Athletic Championship at Jammu in the month of September 2019. Different committees were formed for the successful conduct of North Zone Championship. All the 25 office bearers and Executive members attended the meeting.
