UDHAMPUR, Aug 4: The Army in coordination with the local Village Sports Body and the local Administration conducted ‘Inter District Kabaddi League’ at Budhal.
Twelve teams from various villages of Reasi, Rajouri and Ramban districts participated in the tournament which was conducted over sixteen days. The sportsmanship and enthusiasm of all the players was evident during the conduct of the tournament which was an encouraging sign for the organizers. The response of the spectators was also overwhelming.
On conclusion of the prize distribution ceremony, the Sarpanch of Budhal expressed his gratitude to the Army for conducting the tournament and said that such competitions foster bonhomie and esprit de Corps among the youth and will go a long way in bringing in cultural prosperity to the region.
