JAMMU, Aug 22: Bhartiya Shiksha Samiti (BSS) Jammu Kashmir organized its 28th State Sports Meet of Volley ball, Kabaddi, Kho-Kho and Chess at BVM High School, Hiranagar in Kathua from August 19 to 21 for U-11, U-14 and U-17 Boys and Girls.
250 players from 10 schools of six zones of Jammu province participated in the meet. The prize distribution function was presided over by Ichha Dhari Gupta, president, School Management Committee, in the presence of Pradip Kumar, Organizing Secretary, BSS J&K, Samir Krishan Saproo, Khel Kud Pramukh, BSS J&K and Jagdev Singh, Principal.
In Under-14 Boys Kho-Kho, Ambphalla team won the title trophy while in Under-14 Girls, the team of Dashmesh Nagar emerged champion. In Kabaddi Under-11, Dadwara team won while both Under-14 Boys and Girls Kabaddi titles were won by Amphalla team. In Under-17 Kabaddi Boys also, Ambphalla clinched winners’ trophy.
In Volleyball Under-17 Boys, BVM Dashmesh Nagar team emerged winner while in Chess Under-17, Dadwara team won the title trophy.
The selected teams will represent J&K in Vidya Bharti North Zone games to be held in Uchana Jind Haryana from August 25 to 28.
