DODA, Mar 23: Four- day Sports Festival concluded at Sports Stadium Doda which was organized by Doda Police on the direction of Range Police Hqrs Batote, under Civic Action Programme with the objective of harnessing the talent of youth in sports activities and strengthen the Police Public relationship in Doda- Kishtwar-Ramban Range.
Additional DC Doda, Mohammad Hanief was the chief guest while Principal Hr. Secondary School Doda, Tanveer Ahmed Wani and Principal Police Public School Doda, Raiz Ahmed Mintoo were the Guests of Honour. Today the final matches of Cricket, Kabaddi and Tug of War were played which were witnessed by the huge gathering from Doda and adjoining areas. Cricket match was played between the teams of Kishtwar and Ramban.
The toss was won by Kishtwar and they elected to bat first. Kishtwar team scored 157 runs in 15 overs for the loss of 9 wickets. While chasing the target, Ramban team scored 84 runs only in 11 overs and was lost by 73 runs. Mubassir Ahmed of Kishtwar Team was declared as the man of the match who contributed 57 runs for his team. Final Kabaddi match was played between the teams of District Doda and Ramban,
Team of District Ramban won the Kabaddi match by 5 points whereas Final Match of Tug of War was played between the teams of Ramban and Doda which was won by Doda Team.
