KATRA, Feb 22: The 19th Shiv Khori Kesari annual Vishal Dangal is scheduled to be held at Government High School Ransoo the base camp of the Shiv Khori Shrine in Pouni Block of District Reasi on February 25, 2017.
The Wrestling meet is being organized by J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association in collaboration with Department of J&K Tourism and Shiv Khori Dangal Committee as part of annual three days historic “Maha Shivratri” Mela at Shiv Khori, commencing from February 23, 2017.
The decision regarding organizing this Vishal Dangal was taken in a meeting held at Reasi under the Chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Ravinder Kumar. Others who attended the meeting were President J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association Shiv Kumar Sharma, Senior Superintendent of Police Reasi, Tahir Bhatt, Additional Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Babu Ram, Assistant Director Tourism Katra Dr. Umesh Shan, Shashi Kumar Gupta President Shiv Khori Mandali Katra, Executive Officer Shri Shiv Khori Shrine Board who is also Mela Officer Om Parkash, District Youth Services and Sports Officer Dr. Swarn Singh Chib and Officers from various Department participate in the meeting.
The interested wrestlers of Jammu region or outside the State can submit their entries to Shiv Kumar Sharma (99069-72888) and Sanjeev Kumar Sharma (9419116019). Giving of the event detail Mr Sharma said that nearly 65 to 70 Wrestlers from various parts of State and outside State besides, BSF, J&K Police and army will take part.
