REASI, May 10: 2-day Zonal Level Inter-School Tournament in the disciplines of kabaddi, kho-kho, volleyball and wrestling Under-14 and Under-17 boys and girls concluded at HS Kamal Danga, here today.
800 players with 445 boys and 375 girls drawn from various Govt and private institutions participated in the event.
PD Sharma, Principal GHSS Reasi was the chief guest on the inaugural function, while Romail Singh, Headmaster was the chief guest on the concluding function.
The Tournament was held under the supervision of Dr SS Chib, District Youth Services and Sports Officer, Reasi.
In kho-kho Under-14 boys, Amba Kids Panthal trounced Heritage Public Reasi by (9-5), while in kho-kho Under-17 boys, HS Nomain defeated HS Aghar Jitto by (9-5).
In kabaddi Under-14 boys, HS Nagar outplayed Amba Kids Panthal by (25-18), while in kabaddi Under-17 boys, HS Kambal Danga defeated HS Bhagdar by (39-19).
In volleyball Under-14 boys, HS Kambal Danga got better of Amba Kids Panthal by (2-1) sets, while in Under-17 boys, HS Kambal Danga prevailed over HS Bhagdar by (2-0).
In kho-kho Under-14 girls, HS Katra beat Amba Kids Panthal by (3-2), while in Under-17 girls’ HSS Panthal prevailed over GH Katra by (12-5).
In kabaddi Under-14 girls, Amba Kids Panthal outplayed MS Panassa by (24-12), while in kabaddi Under-17 girls, HSS Panthal defeated HSS Reasi by (37-27).
HS Kambal Danga got better of HSS Panthal in volleyball Under-17 girls by (2-0).
The wrestling gold medals in Under-17 boys went to Ajay Singh, Rahul Kumar, Shakku Dogra, Chain Singh, Ravi Kumar, Narinder Singh and Abhishek Sadotra, while in Under-14 boys, the gold medals were bagged by Sunil Kumar, Madan Singh, Deepak Kumar, Surjeet Singh, Deepak Tagotra and Naresh Singh.
