JAMMU, Dec 8: Nine wrestlers and two officials have been selected by the Wrestling Association of J&K to represent Union Territory in Under-15 Boys Free Style, Greco Roman Style and Girls National Wrestling Championship, here today.
The National championship is scheduled to be held at Ranchi (Jharkhand) from December 15 to 17.
The team was selected after the screening which was conducted by Screening Committee of J&K Sports Council at MA Stadium, here under the overall supervision of Ashok Singh, Divisional Sports Officer (Jammu) in the presence of Satish Gupta, Manager J&K Sports Council, Ravinder Kumar and Ajay Bharti.
Dushyant Sharma, former international wrestler in his message gave their best wishes to selected wrestlers for their participation in National and bringing laurels for J&K UT by winning medals.
Team: Kanav Chib, Surya Udhay Partap Singh, Mohd Aslam, Varinder Kumar, Bag Hussain, Mashoor Ali, Ankit Singh, Abdul Mannan and Ansar Khan, Ravinder Kumar and Ajay Bharti will accompany the team as coach and team manager respectively.
