Wrestler Rishu wins 60th Aghar Jitto Kesari Dangal Title

REASI, June 13: Wrestler Rishu of Kathua clinched the prestigious title of 60th Annual Aghar Jitto Kesari Dangal 2025 by defeating Wrestler Shakti from Noida, Uttar Pradesh in the thrilling first malli main bout, which lasted 13 minutes. Rishu received a cash prize of Rs 20,000, a traditional Gurj (Gadda) and the Aghar Jitto Kesari Patta, while runner-up Shakti was awarded Rs 11,000.
The mega event was organized by the Baba Jitto Dangal Committee in association with the J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association, under the supervision of Sunil Kohli, President Awardee Gopal Krishan Komal and Jugal Kishore Sharma (Bunty).
ADC Reasi Rakesh Kumar was the chief guest who distributed cash prizes worth Rs 2,00,000. The event was presided over by Shiv Kumar Sharma, former Joint Secretary, J&K Sports Council and President, J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association. Tehsildar Katra Jatinder Singh, Mela Officer was the guest of honour.
Key supporters included Jugal Kishore Sharma (Bunty), who donated Rs 35,000 and Mohan Lal Kohli, who contributed Rs 15,000. In total, 37 bouts were held, officiated by Naresh Kumar (Pappu Lakri) and his team.
Other winners included Surjit Singh, Amir Khan, Anil Kumar and Chain Singh. The organizing committee was led by Chela Mohan Lal Sharma, Sunil Kohli, and others.
