JAMMU, Jan 20: Department of Mass Communication Gandhi Memorial College of Education organised one day webinar on “Career Opportunities in Journalism”.
Dr Bachha Babu Head of the Department and Dr Archana Kumari Assistant Professor Mass Communication and New Media Central University of Jammu were the key speakers.
Dr Bachha Babu highlighted the role of regional portals and YouTube in the current media trend. He also highlighted the job opportunities in mobile journalism, data analysis content writing and OTT.
Dr Archana Kumari stressed on the use of You Tube channels, graphic designing, mobile journalism, PRO and development communication.
While welcoming the guests, Satish Talashi Principal GMCEJ informed that this is the first and only private institution in J&K which offers three year degree course in Mass Communication and Multimedia Production.
Nearly 50 participants took part in the webinar.
