JAMMU, May 18: Outplaying the pigeons of Philli Company, Khatika Talab convincingly, Wazir and Pichi Company, Panjtirthi won the pigeon race title, organized jointly by these Companies, here today.
5 pigeons of each Company began the race at 8 am today and one of the pigeons of Wazir & Pichi Company after displaying lot of stamina and skill of flying in the air for a longish period reached the final destiny at 5:30 pm to emerge winner of the event.
The last pigeon of Philli Company reached the final destiny at 2:23 pm.
It is pertinent to mention here that in this unique contest, which is historic annual feature in Jammu, the pigeon which flies in the air for more time emerges winner.
The pigeons of Wazir & Pichi Company began the race from Panjtirthi, while the pigeons of Philli Company started the race from Khatika Talab.
