SRINAGAR, May 18: 3-day long District Srinagar Yoga Championship 2014 concluded at Sher-e-Kashmir
Indoor Sports Complex, here.
The Championship was organized by the J&K Yoga Association in collaboration with the J&K State Sports Council.
Over 100 players including boys and girls participated in various age groups.
Joint Secretary (Kashmir), J&K State Sports Council, J B Singh Bali was the chief guest on the occasion, while Fareda Shabir, Joint Secretary (Kashmir), J&K Yoga Association was also present on the occasion. The chief guest and the other dignitaries distributed prizes among the position holders on the valedictory function.
Earlier, in 5-8 girls, Maryam Mubashir, Hija Mufti and Zara
Hussain of RCC Srinagar got first, second and third positions respectively, while in 8-11 girls, Saba Jan, Fatima Hussain of RCC and Anusha of Kashmir Havard got first, second and third position respectively.
In boys category, Bilal Ahmed, Ankit Sharma of Mehboob Public High School and Tabish Hameed of CMP got first, second and third position respectively.
In 11-14 girls, Fatima Aziz of RCC, Mukaram and Abeena of Kashmir Harvard got first, second and third position respectively.
In boys section, Rizwan Rashid Wani of RCC Srinagar, Shahzaib of Kashmir Harvard and Ubair of CMP got first, second and third position respectively.
In 14-17 girls, Tanzeelz Muzaffar, Muqdus Majeed of RCC Srinagar and Ifra Irshad of Kashmir Harvard got first, second and third position respectively, while in boys, Raveen Deep Singh, Afridi Maharaj and Aauqib Rasheed Wani won first, second and third position respectively.
In 17-21 girls, Sabreena Yousuf Badam, Pariha and Hapsa Maqsoodi got first three positions respectively, while in boys,  Shariq Shabir, Tabish Mehraj and Iqbal Kahan of RCC claimed first, second and third position respectively. Owasia Khan of RCC Srinagar got first position in 21-25 girls.
